Composition :
Salicylic Acid 5.0%
Benzoic Acid 2.0%
Indications :
For ringworm, athletes foot and tinea versicolor
Directions for use :
Clean and dry the affected area and then apply the solution two to three times a day.
Precaution :
Use with care on large area of skin.
Side effects :
Skin irritation, dermatitis and allergic reaction may occur in some cases.
Contraindication :
Hypersensitivity to Salicylic Acid and Benzoic Acid.
Overdosage :
Symptioms of salicylate intoxication include dizziness, tinnitus, deafness, nausea and vomiting, sweating, mental confusion, restlessness, ketosis and metabolic acidosis.
Treatment of overdosage :
Drink plenty of fluids for mild intoxication. For severe intoxication, forced alkaline diuresis is required until salicylate in plasma is less than 350 ug/ml. Plasma electrolytes should be monitored. Acidaemia must be corrected by infusion of sodium bicarbonate.
Storage :
Store at room temperature. Keep this and all medicines out of reach of children.
Warning :
Not to be taken. For external use only. Not to be applied on face, sensitive area and open wounds.
