Headache Powder

Composition :

Acetylsalicylic Acid 600 mg

Indications :

For the relief of headache, fever and toothache.

Dosage and Administration :

Adults : 1 packet, Repeat 4 hourly if required. Maximum 6 times a day. The dose should be taken after meals. If symptoms persist, please consult doctor.

Precaution :

Use only under medical supervision in patients prone to dyspepsia, peptic ulcer or those suffering from allergic diseases (especially asthma).
Do not exceed recommended dosage.
Do not use this product if you are pregnant or nursing a baby unless advised to do so by a doctor.

Side effects and contraindications :

Nausea, dyspepsia and vomiting may occur. Ulceration and blood in the stools may occur in severe cases. To avoid such effects, the medication should be taken after food. It should not be administered to patients with haemophilia.

Treatment of overdosage :

Empty the stomach by inducing emesis or by aspiration and lavage. Replacement of fluid and electrolyte losses, correction of acidaemia, prevention of further salicylate absorption and enhancement of salicylate elimination.

Drug Interactions :

Alcohol, coumarin, anticoagulants, sulphonylurea hypoglycemia agents, methotrexate, uricosuric agents, barbiturates and other sedatives.

Storage :

Store at room temperature.
Keep this and all medicines out of reach of children.

Warning :

Not to be given to persons below the age of 16 years except under the direction of a doctor.

Shelf life :

5 years from manufacturing date.
